Today was an inspiring day for us.

First, we visited Intage, a world famous marketing research company. We listened to presentations by the managers in English, which were about research marketing and what makes it significantly different from marketing in general. Then, we had the chance to see the company’s offices. The Bosnian students were surprised by how quiet the Japanese office was, and some said they would not be able to concentrate in that kind of environment.

In the afternoon, we visited the National Diet. It was the first time for me, as well as for most of us, to enter the Diet building, so I was very excited but also nervous. We first took a tour of the building before meeting two members of the House of Representatives: Mr. Hisayuki Fujii, Chair of the Standing Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Mr. Minoru Kiuchi, Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy. Both of them had connections with Bosnia and Herzegovina, as they were members of the Japan–Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Friendship Association. We asked questions on various topics, mostly related to the relationship between Bosnia and Japan and our project. Meeting and having conversations with such important politicians was a very valuable experience for us, and we should all make use of this experience in the future.

We have only three more days left with the Bosnian students. I hope we can make this exchange the best one possible and that we can all reunite happily in Sarajevo in March.

Today, we were total free day. So our family went to Shizuoka Prefecture so as to see Mt.Fuji. Also we got on the bullet train to go there. My pair was surprised that the train was so fast but it was so calmer than Bosnian vehicles. After arriving, we went to ocean, and tried to see Mt.Fuji. We could only see the part of it, but we were satisfied. After that My pair tried hot springs with me. Since we have to take off clothes in there, he was a bit afraid before. However he could relax here and spend a good time. Then he loves it! After we came back Tokyo. He tried Ramen noodles with duck meat. He really likes it and he wanted to eat again! So that’s all today , we could relax and chill well. We’re looking forward to the next day!!

Today we did a lot of things. First, we went to Asakusa and visited WASAKE. There, we learned the history of sake and how sake is made. After that, we tried some amazake, which was really good. We also experienced making onigiri. The Bosnian students made better onigiri than I did, and they enjoyed it a lot.

After visiting WASAKE, we went sightseeing around Asakusa. We visited Senso-ji Temple and bought some souvenirs for their families and friends in Bosnia. They were really into finding souvenirs and seemed to enjoy it a lot.

In the afternoon, we visited Happoen, which is a traditional Japanese garden, and we explained the traditions and scenery. Through visiting Happoen, they experienced Japanese nature and traditions. After that, we visited the Embassy of Bosnia. We listened to how Japan has a good relationship with Bosnia, the differences between the two countries, and what we can learn from both Bosnia and Japan. We asked the ambassador many questions and took some photos. We learned a lot from him. I think the Bosnian students are now getting used to Japan.

I learned many Bosnian words from the Bosnian students, and I can now have short conversations with them and tell some jokes in Bosnian. I hope I can speak Bosnian fluently when I go to Bosnia in March.

Uživali smo mnogo danas. (We enjoyed it a lot today.)

Today is third day of the project. We went to Tokyo Disneyland!! Many of the Bosnia students had never been to Disneyland before. Disneyland is an amusement park, however its atmosphere is unique and special.

In the morning, we gathered at Maihama station at 7:00. Everyone looked really happy and excited. First, we waited for the gates to open. Waiting is actually parts of the fun at Disneyland.

First attraction I went on was Haunted Mansion. After that we enjoyed other attractions. We saw many shows like Toys・One Dallas・Christmas, Harmony in color and Reach for the stars. We took pictures with some characters like Piglet, Zepet and Scrooge. This memory is really Unforgettable. I think our relationship has deepened by going to Disneyland today.

Today was the first day of the exchange program. While we were waiting for the students from Bosnia at the airport, the students from Japan were very nervous. However, after the students from Bosnia arrived, everyone looked very happy. After that, today’s plan was an individual plan, so some of them went home directly, and some of them went to places near the airport. We went to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. My pair enjoyed the atmosphere of the temple, and I taught him how to worship. We bought some souvenirs and headed home.
After arriving at my home, he unpacked his bags and had lunch. We ate curry and rice, and he enjoyed it a lot. Since he could not sleep on the plane, he took a nap for an hour. Later, we went to a supermarket and bought some Japanese snacks. He explained a lot of things about Bosnian culture. Then, we ate karaage for dinner. He really enjoyed it as well.
I was happy that he enjoyed Japanese food and kept saying how delicious it was. He didn’t seem very nervous from the beginning, and we were able to get comfortable with each other quickly. From tomorrow, I would like to get along with him and the other members even more.

Today, we first went to school, and had a welcoming ceremony. The students from the Third Gymnasium Sarajevo explained the history of their school, sang us a song, and gave us gifts. After the ceremony, while the KNG students were getting their test scores back, students from TGS had a tour around the school, and tried traditional Japanese calligraphy. For lunch, we went to “Kura-Zushi” and enjoyed eating sushi for the first time in Japan. Then, we went to Tokyo Skytree and enjoyed watching the sunset. Some students went to Shibuya after, and enjoyed walking in the neon streets. It was the second day, and even though we were nervous yesterday, we were able to talk more and have some more fun.
